I like the subtle way in which the tracks connect to the album cover, making this resting maiden the center point — calm in the midst of storm. (Just my interpretation maybe but the cover gives extra depth to the music... a softer undertone). The image reminds me of ‘Annunciation’ by Dante G. Rossetti used in ‘Adrenaline’ music video. ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ puts me at peace with big disappointments — a bittersweet musical potion.

This music is something so unique, yet it's still firmly keeping it's goth roots, especially in guitars. We need more of this in the modern goth scene! Wishing to see NFD playing live some day as well.
